One word describes youth fellowship this year: Popcorn
Yes, just as you have the pleasure of watching a bag of popcorn grow and expand inside a microwave, so God has given us, as leaders, the privilege of being able to watch our young people grow in their faith and in numbers as they continue to bring new friends to Youth Fellowship.
Our leadership team has also grown and we welcomed Catherine among us. We’ve been thankful for Jonny input this year and it is wonderful that he is with us on a more regular basis.
As in previous years, we meet on Sunday evenings and have a once-a-month social event on a Saturday night. Our Saturdays nights have included movie nights, 10-pin bowling, and dinner at the Coast restaurant. This year’s big hit was a ‘lock-in’ at 3:16 that had our young people competing in different challenges until 4 am.
On our Sunday evenings this year we have studied the Ten Commandments and Proverbs 4. In the spring term a DVD series called “The Ten” encouraged us to look at the Ten Commandments in a unique way. In the autumn term we looked at Proverbs 4 on wisdom. We took time to look at what wisdom is, how to get it, and how to allow it to transform our lives.
This year has been such an encouraging year and we give thanks to God for his numerous blessings. I would like to take this opportunity to thank all those who have supported us in prayer. We would ask that you would continue to pray for us, especially for the youth members that they may continue to grow in their faith or begin a new relationship with God.

Youth Fellowship meets on Sunday evenings in the Youth Room from 8:00 – 9:15pm.
Usually once a month there is a Saturday evening event.
Anybody of secondary school age will be made very welcome!
