Who we are
Who we are
Portrush Presbyterian Church is part of the Presbyterian Church in Ireland https://www.presbyterianireland.org/ and we have been meeting as a church since 1836 Portrush, as a town, has seen many changes over the years and it is often regarded as one of Ireland’s most-popular tourist destinations; with two stunning beaches, a range of leisure facilities and hotel accommodation, home to the Open Golf Championship (2019 & 2025), and within striking distance of the world-famous, Giant’s Causeway. Whilst this brings many visitors to the town the church is situated at the heart of the Portrush community (Main Street) with a heart for the Portrush community.
We meet to worship on Sundays at 11am & 6:30pm and our services follow a similar pattern week-by-week, in what we might describe as a gospel-conversation. We have an opportunity to hear God speak to us through his word read and preached and we respond to that word in prayer and sung praise.
Our church family is made up of people at different ages and stages of life; from babies in arms to older members in their 90s. Many of our members grew up in the town and others have settled here as a result of work or study.
Where we are
Portrush Presbyterian Church is situated in the centre of this busy holiday town (just at the top of the Arcadia steps). We’re an ordinary group of people who gather Sunday by Sunday to worship an extraordinary Saviour and Lord, Jesus Christ. 11am & 6:30pm
